Potassium Sorbate: This is a food additive that is meant to lengthen the life of the product. However, though many believe it to be safe… there are some scientists who believe overexposure can be harmful.

Acesulfame Potassium: It is an artificial sweetener linked to breast tumors and disrupting metabolism.

Regular Yoplait: Less harmful ingredients but still not a healthy choice, you are still ingesting milk from non-organically raised cows, non organic blackberries, and GM (Genetically Modified) Corn, minus the poisen of Aspartame, the food dyes and other added chemical preservitives.

After a 2 year study here are the 4 dangerous ingredients found in Yogurt:

1. Carrageenen

This is a polyseccharide that comes from the red sea algae. Scientists have been warning about the dangers of this component for four decades. Researchers have shown that there is a tight connection between this polysaccharide and gastrointestinal inflammations, ulcers and even malignant tumors. Unfortunately the companies ignore these facts and still use this component when producing yogurt.

2. Dimethylpolysiloxane

This silicone oil is used as a cleaning product of oil fryers in restaurants and it is also used in yogurt’s processing. It is not mentioned on the label even if residues remain in yogurt. The World Health Organization says that this compound is safe and the FDA allows it to be preserved by formaldehyde, a compund that causes oxidative stress and increases the risk of getting Cancer.

3. HFCS-90

This is a toxic additive, a variation of high fructose corn syrup, According to a long term study at Princeton University , the effects of HFCS consumption is much more dangerous than other simple sugars. The study shows that HFCS-90 not only causes obesity, but also increases the blood pressure and causes diabetes, coronary artery disease and cancer. Yogurt manufactures write HFCS-90 as “fructose” or “fructose syrup” but that is far from the truth.

4. Neosugar

This is a highly processed form of sugar can’t be digested by the human digestive tract. This type of sugar is genetically modified and processed from either sugar cane or sugar beets. The sugar cane or sugar beet is processed and treated with hydrochloric acid ( a highly corrosive mineral acid) sodium hydrocide and acivated carbon. Neosugar is sometimes labled as “prebiotic’ or “natural dietary fiber”, much more healthier alternative names.

The Dangers of Dairy

Cow Dairy is the absolute worst. The majority of dairy cows today in the US are injected with a genetically modifies growth hormone that causes them to produce more milk than they would naturally. So when you eat or drink this milk, you too are consuming the artificial hormones. The majority of cows are also treated with antibiotics, which your body will then absorb.
