Important note ** No one know’s your case better than you. Ask to be involved if being represented by an Attorney. They could miss some important fact, possible evidence, or even a person involved.  Take the time to look at tab subjects under family law, there is good information on how to gather evidence, what is public record, alot of resources available.  You can save your attorney time which you are billed for if you can gather evidence yourself.

Just as important when opposing parties do give information by any of the different methods stated, It is your right to ask for copies or an opportunity to read all answers weather orally, or written in any or all of the methods mentioned. Is a person under oath to tell the truth ? Yes but sadly in the real world due to selfish motives, financial motives there are those who do not tell the truth. So if you are able to read the responses to interogatories, and other methods you will if someone lied. It is important to ask for your own copies of all paperwork filed .  If you are represented by an attorney , you pay for it anyway.  It allows you to read over and think about things in the comfort of your own home versus rushed meetings with attorneys in their offices.
